Mission

Our mission is to provide high quality diagnostic imaging services to the community in a  courteous and timely manner. Our technical staff are licensed in the various modalities of radiography, mammography, CT and Ultrasound. All exams are interpreted by Board Certified Radiologists.  We are committed to the process of continuously updating our imaging equipment in order to bring state of the art services to our community. EVOLUTION OF THE IMAGING DEPARTMENT

Through the years, Ashland Community Hospital has been here to serve the community.  The diagnostic imaging department has always been part of that service.  We have gone from a staff of 2 technicians and 1 radiologist in the 1970’s to a technical staff of over 20 with interpretations performed by  ABR certified radiologist.  We will continue to grow to meet the needs of our community.

IMAGING SERVICES

Computed Tomography -CT Scan

In 2005, Ashland Community Hospital invested in our Phillips Brilliance CT 16 slice scanner.  It offers unprecedented speed and outstanding image quality to help doctors detect disease earlier, leading to more efective treatment options. The scans are non-invasive, enhancing patient comfort. The CT technologists at Ashland Community Hospital have over 40 years combined experience providing CT scans as a diagnostic tool for many ailments.

Multi-Diagnostic X-Ray System

In addition to the CT scanner, Ashland Community Hospital acquired a Multi-Diagnostic Eleva X-Ray System from Philips that provides advanced diagnostic images using the lowest possible dose of radiation necessary. 

DEXA Scan--Bone Density Screening

A DEXA scan only takes a couple of minutes, is painless and offers an excellent, essential screening tool for the early detection of osteoporosis. They are recommended for women over 45. A DEXA Scan is the best toolavailable today for determining bone density.

Digital Mammography--Breast Cancer Screening

We understand the fear and trepidation associated with having a mammogram. We now offer safer and softer mammograms, with the addition of the mammopad and the low dose digital technology. We have created a private and safe place for you to have this important exam performed. With our proactive approach to staffing, we can now schedule a screening mammogram within two weeks and a diagnostic exam within two days. Our mammography department is certified by the American College of Radiology. The State and Federal government inspect us yearly, ensuring the finest, most accurate service for our patients. 

Ultrasound

Our ATL ultrasound unit is operated by staff committed to excellence. Our senior US technologist has over 19 years of experience in this demanding field. In total, our staff have combined US experience of over 34 years.
