Be A Volunteer
Ashland Community Hospital values our volunteers and could not provide the quality of care to our patients and visitors without the important contributions of our volunteers.
There are three primary volunteer groups at Ashland Community Hospital.
Founded in 1961, the mission of the Ashland Community Hospital (ACH) Auxiliary is to provide support and enhance caring patient relations. ACH Auxilians give freely of their time in many areas of the hospital. The welfare and comfort of patients and their loved ones are of prime importance.

Hospice volunteers provide a fundamental service to dying patients and their grieving family members. Hospice volunteers receive extensive training and preparation before providing hospice volunteer services.

An important component of becoming a Planetree designated hospital is to encourage healthy communities. The Guest Services program invites high school, college and adult age volunteers to provide important services to both inpatients and outpatients and their families. Volunteer entertainers and artists also contribute to this program.
