The Operating Rooms

Flexibility is the operative word for the operating rooms. Ceiling-mounted monitors, booms that position equipment according to type of surgery and physician preference and technology that allow for hands-free communication are just a few of the design features of these rooms.  Two rooms are specially equipped for Vitreoretinal surgeons who repair special eye problems and treat diseases and conditions such as macular degeneration and ocular tumors.

The Patient Areas

Designed for patient comfort and privacy, each pre-op room is spacious enough for a parent to remain near their child, or a family member or friend to provide a patient with comfort and support. The rooms are efficiently designed, allowing caregivers to focus attention where it belongs, on the patient.

The Details

From the environmentally friendly interior finishes to the artwork on the walls, the Diagnostic and Surgery Center uses nature’s palette to create a comfortable visual environment for patients, visitors and staff. The greens, blues and rich autumn tones reflect an appreciation for our region’s natural beauty and provide a peaceful backdrop for every activity in the building. Spacious waiting areas that include a Health Resource Center, an area for children, new way-finding signage, and soft, unobtrusive lighting supply the finishing touches.
